Are you looking for a heavy-duty trekking bike with disc brakes and pinion gearbox? Please, here comes the idworx oPinion! It comes directly from the All Rohler with Rohloff Speedhub and shares all the strong features with him – extended by the even wider gear ratio of the Pinion gearbox.
The ultimate travel bike, the oPinion is based on an extra stiff frame. But all the other details are optimally designed for tours with a lot of luggage. To adapt to the Pinion gearbox, we had to redesign the frame – including special, synchronously adjustable dropouts and oversized thru-axle to adjust the correct tension of chain or belt.
The oPinion is fitted as standard with the 12-speed version of the Pinion C1.12 transmission. Optionally, the 18-speed version (P1.18) can be ordered.

oPinion

The oPinion (gen 2.4) is our most universal model. It’s suitable for everyday use in any weather, for long and even mountainous multi-day trips with lots of luggage as well as for fitness training. The oPinion offers the 12- or 18-speed version of the very low-maintenance Pinion gear system with a long range. The wide Schwalbe Marathon Almotion tires roll very lightly and have great protection against punctures. The large Shimano brake system is prepared for daily riding in different conditions. As the ultimate travel bike it has a very stiff frame, and other details are also specifically designed for trips with lots of luggage. For example, the connection of the Tubus carrier is optional strengthened by the idworx ‘DaBrace’. Some of the options you can choose are the extremely lightweight, sturdy and wide idworx DaRim LaW trekking carbon wheels with 50 mm Schwalbe Almotion tires, the own developed idworx DaCover guard (suitable for chain and belt drive!) or for heavy use the ultimative idworx Big Disc Brakes with 203 mm wide and 3,2 mm thick brake discs.

Flex-Bars advanced (*A)

The improved version of the Flex Bar - Flex Bar Avanced - is a handlebar made of flexible glass fiber composite with intelligent locking function in the pulling direction. The perceptible suppleness of the handlebar, which clearly contributes to the comfort, is only active while riding over bumps in the road and not if you pull the handlebar standing on the pedals, for example. The handlebar is suitable for cyclists up to 100 kg body weight and meets the requirements of the Zedler-Advanced-Standard strenght test, which clearly sets higher requirements than the ISO-norm 4210:2015.

The USE Duro Titan combines robustness, clever saddle clamping, low weight and comfort. Developed for the toughest off-road use, the titanium seat post springs noticeably better than aluminum supports and most carbon posts. Maximum riders weight 85Kg.

BySchulz G.2 Suspension Seat Post ST (*E)

The G.2 ST suspension seat post scores with fine response behavior and driving comfort thanks to the proven parallelogram spring mechanism and IGUS polymer high-performance plain bearings, and that with only 100 mm installation height and 30 mm spring travel. This makes long, fatigue-free daily stages possible, even on bad roads.

idworx DaFender

Many cyclists know the problem. You ride with several riders or with a trailer in the rain and the rear wheel of the bike gets the person behind you or the entire trailer dirty because the rear mudguard has little protection at the back. Our DaFender extends the rear mudguard and pulls it further down, drastically reducing the amount of dirt thrown up. Available for our SKS mudguards in 65mm width.

Cane Creek Viscoset Headset

We recommend this headset with integrated steering damping if you want to make maximum use of the driving comfort potential of the wide tires and therefore drive them with the lowest possible inflation pressure. In particular, touring cyclists who load their idworx with a lot of luggage benefit from the resulting, even more solid self-steering behavior.

idworx stands for consistent development. Therefore, the logical step was to take our aluminum trekking fork to the next evolutionary stage.
The result was our new DaFork full carbon trekking fork. The highlights are:

DaRim LaW-Trekking Carbon Rims (*H)

DaRim LaW-Trekking hooked Carbon rim (29"). Extra wide 30 mm carbon rims for any type of tires.
Probably the most sensible option to improve the performance of your idworx even further. The larger inner width of the rim improves the support of wide tires, which are so typical for idworx. Therefore, you can reduce the tire pressure even further to increase traction and riding comfort. The bike does not lose any steering precision, because the shape of the tire is more stabilized by the wider rim. On trails with larger bumps, you can even reduce the rolling resistance.
The rims are more stable than any aluminum rim. Compared to the standard aluminum rim mounted on idworx, the DaRim LaW-Trekking saves up to 75 grams per rim and improves the stiffness of the wheels as well as their stability. Size and alignment optimized spoke holes and an extra-reinforced profile ensure safety and extremely long life.

DaRim HD - heavy duty rims (*H)

Extra stable rim made of extremely durable aluminum alloy, with spoke holes optimized in size and alignment. The perfect upgrade for heavy riders and anyone who regularly pushes the maximum load on their idworx bikes. Only 29 inch.
The extra deep rim base makes tire mounting easier - even with TLE tires.

idworx Big Disc Brakes (*G, *I, *J)

The disc brake for maximum performance and stability trekking and travel bikes, but also for mountain bikes. The brake caliper and brake levers combines the proven Hope V2 brakes, with its own idworx, 203 mm wide, 3,2 mm thick discs.

idworx Medium Disc - iMD (*G, *I)

Our new idworx Medium Disc is the perfect way to significantly improve the performance of the Shimano XT 8100 Trekking disc brake. Thanks to the special design of the braking surface, we significantly increase the braking performance (dry and wet braking performance) compared to the standard Shimano brake disc, while still maintaining good controllability. The special steel alloy in combination with 2mm thickness allows us to achieve better heat dissipation and a more stable pressure point. The wear indicators integrated into the braking surface make it very easy to see the wear limit of the disc. Available in 203mm diameter with 6 hole and 4 hole mount for Rohloff.
