Description
When it comes to mountain bike geometries, Gerrit Gaastra has always been very innovative. The best example of this is the “Double D” presented in 2000. With its slack 68° steering angle and 2.4-inch wide tires, it ensures enormous stability and safety, even on technically challenging downhills. The perfect implementation of our “Ride it all, all the time” philosophy. Now, a good 21 years, various prototypes and several kilometers of training and competitions by the entire Bike Basics team later, we have set a counterpoint to our Evolution geometry, which has been tried and tested over the years, with the completely newly developed Rapid Rohler Ti. An extremely steep steering angle, particularly short chainstays and a relatively low bottom bracket result in playfully agile handling that is almost reminiscent of a gravel bike. The perfect bike for flowing and winding single trails, as found in low mountain ranges or on Dutch MTB trails. In the hands of an experienced pilot, the Rapid Rohler Ti guarantees lightning-fast fun and entices you to play with the terrain. All this packed in an indestructible titanium frame, 29 inch wheels and refined with the low-maintenance Rohloff gear hub.
Now with Shimano XT 4 piston brakes and Rock Shox SID SL Ultimate as standard.
idworx Stress Reducer steering angle limiter
effectively prevents the front wheel from turning over and thus protects against damage to the frame, headlights or even the shift cables and brake hoses, which can occur due an accident or if the bike falls over.
